Why streetwear sizing differs between brands
Shopping a different streetwear brand? Start with the fit you already like, then compare the actual piece. The examples below use measurements published on our individual listings, so you can see where the same size label gives you a different amount of room.
Is a medium the same size in every streetwear brand?
No. A medium is a label, not a fixed chest width or body length. Compare the exact garment and size with something you already wear; the examples below show why a universal brand-to-brand size conversion would be misleading.
Does Palace fit smaller than Supreme?
Some of the tees in our catalog are narrower at the same label size. Our Palace Heat Sensi Tee in M lists a 20.5-inch chest width; our Supreme League Tee in M lists 22 inches. That makes this Palace tee 1.5 inches narrower laid flat, while their listed lengths are close: 29.75 versus 30 inches.
If that Supreme medium is the fit you like, the Palace medium in this comparison will give you less chest room. Our Palace Tri-Twister Tee in L lists a 22-inch chest width and 30.5-inch length—a closer chest-width match. This is a comparison of those specific tees, not a rule to size up in every Palace release.
Does Stüssy run big or true to size?
Choose by the model’s cut, rather than assuming every Stüssy piece is oversized. For example, the Stüssy Box Crown Tee in M has a listed 21.5-inch chest width and 29-inch length. Compared with the Supreme League Tee in M below, it is half an inch narrower and one inch shorter. For these two tees, Stüssy is not the larger medium.
If I wear a Stüssy medium, what size should I buy in Patta?
A Patta medium may give you more chest room without extra length. The Patta Neon Tee in M lists 22.5 inches across the chest and 29 inches long. The Stüssy Box Crown Tee in M lists 21.5 by 29 inches. In this example, keeping M adds one inch of flat chest width while keeping the listed length the same.
If you like the closer fit of the Stüssy tee, do not automatically order the Patta small: we need that exact size’s measurements to know whether it is a better match.
How do medium tees compare?
All figures below are inches. Chest means flat garment width, not body chest circumference. These are the listings’ published reference measurements; individual garments and measurement methods can vary.
| Exact tee | Label size | Chest width | Length |
|---|---|---|---|
| Palace Heat Sensi, Grey Marl | M | 20.5 | 29.75 |
| Stüssy Box Crown, Navy | M | 21.5 | 29 |
| Supreme League, Royal | M | 22 | 30 |
| Patta Neon, Black | M | 22.5 | 29 |
The widest and narrowest mediums here differ by two inches laid flat. The longest tee is not the widest. That is why both chest width and length matter.
Do Supreme tees and hoodies fit the same?
No—do not expect the same dimensions just because both labels say L. Our Supreme Naughty Tee in L lists a 23-inch chest width and 30.5-inch length. The Supreme Cross Box Logo Hooded Sweatshirt in L lists 26 inches across the chest and 28.75 inches long. The hoodie is wider but shorter in these published charts, with room for a different silhouette and layering.
Both listings attribute their reference charts to Supreme Community and specify chest width measured one inch below the armhole. These are reference figures, not a claim that CN physically measured both pieces.
Does Palace also fit smaller in hoodies?
In this particular large-size comparison, the Palace hoodie has less chest width. The Palace P-3D Hood in L lists 24.25 inches across the chest and 29.25 inches long. The Supreme Cross Box Logo Hoodie in L lists 26 by 28.75 inches. That suggests a narrower, slightly longer shape for the Palace example, rather than a simple “one size smaller” conversion.
The Palace listing describes a flat measurement; Supreme’s reference specifies one inch below the armhole. Because the measuring points are not documented identically, treat the figures as a fit reference rather than an exact physical difference.
Should I size down if a piece is described as oversized?
Only if the smaller size still has the length and room you want. Sizing down can shorten the body and sleeves as well as reduce width. An oversized cut may be intentionally wide with dropped shoulders; it is not necessarily a standard-fit garment with the wrong label. Compare the smaller size’s measurements before changing sizes.
What size should I choose in Current Nostalgia?
Use the exact CN product’s size information. We do not have a documented measurement comparison here that establishes a CN equivalent for the tees above. Choose the product and size you are considering, then ask us for any missing dimensions. We will not assign a size conversion using another brand’s chart.
How can I check the fit before ordering?
Lay a similar garment you like flat and measure its chest width and length using the same points as the listing. Compare those numbers with the exact size you want, then decide whether you want more room or a shorter body. Our measurement guide explains the method. For footwear, see Nike women’s and men’s sizing.

Stüssy Box Crown figures are identified in the listing as manufacturer measurements; the other tee-table listings describe flat garment measurements. Comparisons apply to these items and chart values, not every release by each brand. Reviewed October 30, 2026.
