How sizing works on women’s Nike releases

A women’s Nike release uses women’s sizing unless the listing explicitly says otherwise. Check whether a number is US women’s, US men’s, UK or EU before ordering. An unqualified “US 10” is not enough to distinguish the two US systems.

How do you convert Nike women’s sizes to men’s?

In Nike’s official women’s footwear chart, the corresponding US men’s size is 1.5 lower than the US women’s size. For example:

US women’s US men’s
8 6.5
9 7.5
11.5 10

This is a conversion between Nike’s listed US size systems, not a guarantee that every model has the same fit. Do not apply the 1.5 subtraction to UK or EU sizes, or assume it applies to another brand.

Can men wear women’s Nike Dunks?

Yes, provided the size and fit work for your feet. Convert the stated US size using Nike’s chart, then check the exact model’s fit notes. A women’s release is not restricted to women.

Match the exact model, color and product code where supplied. Read both the product’s size description and label photos. A women’s release may be described with a men’s equivalent, but both systems should be named clearly—for example, US women’s 11.5 / US men’s 10. If the title and description disagree, ask us to confirm the label before buying.

Should I use the CM size on the shoe box?

Nike recommends measuring both feet and using the longer foot. Follow the measuring steps and the foot-length row in the official chart. Nike also warns that the CM/JP size printed on a shoe box is different from measured foot length in centimeters, so do not treat them as interchangeable.
